Pharmacological properties 
Enterosorbent and prebiotic agent. The pharmacological effect of the preparation is related to the properties of the active substances included in its composition - natural sorbent lignin, lactulose and fructooligosaccharide prebiotics. 
Hydrolyzed lignin is a natural enterosorbent, consisting of hydrolysis products of the components of the woody part of the tree (the solid part under the bark of the tree), has high sorbent activity and non-specific detoxification effects. 
In the intestine, it combines pathogenic bacteria and bacterial toxins, salts of heavy metals, alcohol, allergens, as well as excess of some metabolic products, including bilirubin, cholesterol, histamine, serotonin, urea, and other metabolites responsible for the development of endogenous toxicosis, and removes them from the body. It is not toxic, it is not absorbed, it is completely eliminated from the intestine within 24 hours. 
Lactulose is a synthetic disaccharide whose molecule is composed of galactose and fructose residues. Lactulose is not absorbed and hydrolyzed in the stomach and upper intestine. Lactulose from the tablets is fermented by the normal intestinal microflora as a substrate in the large intestine, stimulating the development and growth of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli. The restoration of the intestinal microflora ensures the normalization of the metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates, the correct absorption of vitamins, micro- and macroelements, and the active stimulation of non-specific immunity. As a result of the hydrolysis of lactulose in the large intestine, organic acids - lactic, acetic and formic acids - are formed, which slow down the development of pathogenic microorganisms and, as a result, reduce the production of nitrogen-containing toxic substances. The described process leads to an increase in osmotic pressure in the large intestine and stimulation of peristalsis. 
Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) are prebiotic substances that help create ideal conditions for the growth and development of the normal intestinal microflora. FOS reduces the process of decay in the intestines, stimulates fermentation and breakdown of nutrients, accelerates the absorption process from the intestine. 
The complex effect of Lactofiltrum Eco components is aimed at normalizing the biosenosis of the large intestine and reducing the intensity of endogenous toxic conditions. The preparation helps to reduce the severity of skin manifestations, improve skin automicroflora, and also prevent the complications of various gastrointestinal diseases. 
Lactofiltrum Eko affects only the gastrointestinal tract and has a high safety profile.

Instructions for use 
- disturbance of intestinal microflora, including as a result of antibiotic therapy; 
- chronic colitis; 
- irritable bowel syndrome (when there is both constipation and diarrhea syndrome); 
- complex treatment of hepatitis of various etiologies, liver cirrhosis and pancreatitis; 
- complex treatment of allergies of various origins (atopic dermatitis, urticaria); 
- complex treatment of food toxicoinfections and other intoxications. 

Contraindications 
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation, intestinal obstruction, gastrointestinal bleeding, galactosemia, exacerbation of gastric and duodenal ulcers, intestinal atony. 
 
Method of use and dosage 
Accepted internally (after initial shredding if necessary). 
Lactofiltrum Eco is taken with water 1-1.5 hours before or after taking food and other preparations. 
Use the following doses unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor. 
Babies aged 0-1 years: ¼-½ tablet 2-3 times a day 
Children aged 1-3 years: ½ tablet 2-3 times a day 
Children aged 3-7 years: 1 tablet 2-3 times a day 
Children aged 7-14 years: 1 tablet 3 times a day 
Children and adults over 14 years old: 2 tablets 3 times a day. 
The duration of treatment is usually 2-3 weeks. 
The dose and duration of treatment can be increased by the doctor.
